Abbi Mays Exclusive Quilt Kit: Triple Irish Chain
When Sue (our quilt sample) saw the Spa fabrics from Timeless Treasures she immediately said to me: "we need to make an Irish Chain".
This is what she ended up with - one heck of a beautiful quilt:
This quilt turned out to be 106" x 106"
(and is big enough to be a bedspread on a queen size bed or a quilt on a king size bed)
She choose only 4 fabrics (3 from Spa and Moda Bella Solid):
and used the book from Eleanor Burns: Triple Irish Chain
We had our quilt quilted at Judy Kracker's Quilting

Libby Lehman Quilt Auction Benfit
Let the Bidding Begin!
At 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, 2013, you will want to be in Ballroom A at the DeVos Place Convention Center (303 Monroe Avenue NW) in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for the first-ever Quilt Auction to benefit the Libby Lehman Medical Fund.Libby Lehman is a superstar in the quilt world who recently had a brain aneurysm. Libby is currently in a rehab center where she is steadily getting better, but her medical and therapy bills continue to mount.
The American Quilter’s Society is holding this benefit Quilt Auction so quilters can help. Many quilters have wanted to make quilts for Libby. What she can really use right now is for you to donate quilts for this auction and put the money into her medical fund.
Of course, you all need to come to the auction and bid, too. We have already received many beautiful quilts, sewing machines, irons, and other quilt-related products. Here is a sampling of the items that will be up for bid at the auction…quilts, quilts, Baby Lock sewing machine, quilts, Janome sewing machine, Oliso iron, and much more. Some of the quilts are wallhangings and others are made for a bed. There will be some baskets of great products donated by the show vendors, too.
You can view the auction items from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 16, in Ballroom A at the DeVos Place Convention Center. The live auction, with Auctioneer Scott Vander Kolk, Jr., begins at 7:00 p.m.
