Pillowcase Challenge Update September, 2019

We are challenging our readers to make pillowcases for our charities. We have 73 pillow cases so far and really would like to hit our goal of 200! 
It takes twenty minutes to make a pillow case and you can use up that scrap fabric of 27" plus 9" cuff. If you want to add a pop of color, just another 1" strip.

Thank you everyone who donated 190 beautiful pillowcases this year.  We took them to Muskegon Rescue Mission and some went to Haiti!

Last year our customers donated 182 pillowcase that were donated to local charities. This year we have challenged to make 200!  Help us fill the crib: the count as of now is 92!

Turn your love of quilting and sewing into messages of comfort,hope and love for a foster child, a cancer patient,  victims of domestic violence, and others.

Our quilt bee Sew Fun Quilters got together last night and made 76 flannel pillowcases! These will be donated of our local charities to use this Christmas as gifts.

This also would be to do with your grandson or granddaughter! All you need is pins, scissors, iron and sewing machine.

This is how we did it: we organized ourselfs into groups of assemblers, piners, sewers and pressers!

Abbi Mays has cotton and flannel pillowcase kits for you to use that are already precut with 27" case, 2" strip and 9" cuff for adults and kids!

The pillowcase count continues to climb; currently the counter is at 408,000 pillowcases donated to charities!  Remember, every pillowcase counts and can make a difference to someone in need.

This evening at our monthly quilt club get together made a total of 84 pillowcases! We plan on donating them to one of our local charities Everywomans Place to use this Christmas as gifts.

We organized our selfs into groups of assemblers, piners, sewers and pressers!

It was lots fun and in the end we had made 38 kids flannel and 46 cotton in ones.
